The NJATC, working with the American Institutes for Research, has developed the
Inside Electrical Craft Certification program. This program provides evaluation
of electrical workers based on the Inside Wireman Job Analysis, completed by A.I.R.
in 2005. The Job Analysis is a comprehensive analysis of the duties and types
of work performed by Inside Wiremen, and is based on extensive research from multiple
sources.
Craft Certification Examination cover both knowledge (The Written Examination) and
skills (The Performance Evaluation). To view information on the Written Examinations,
or the Performance Evaluation, click on the appropriate link.
Tests are locally hosted by JATCs who have certified Test Administrators or Approved
Performance Evaluators. To offer the Written Examinations, the JATC must have
access to an Internet connected computer lab. To offer the Performance Evaluation,
the JATC must have a properly configured evaluation booth consisting of preinstalled
equipment as well as tools and materials for the evaluation.
